Terms of Service
Last updated: February 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LexSignal.ai ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Definitions
- "Service" means the LexSignal.ai platform, including the web application, API, and all related services.
- "User" means any individual or entity that creates an account or uses the Service.
- "Content" means the regulatory documents, AI-generated summaries, scores, and analyses provided through the Service.
- "Subscription Plan" means the tier of service (Citizen, Professional, or Enterprise) selected by the User.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update it as needed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscription Plans & Access
The Service is offered in three tiers — Citizen, Professional, and Enterprise — each with defined feature limits, topic tracker quotas, and user allowances as described on our Pricing page. Features and limits may vary by plan and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Enterprise add-ons (additional projects, topics, or users) are available for purchase separately.
5. Payment & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. All prices are listed in Euros (EUR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees. If payment fails, we may suspend your access until the issue is resolved.
6. Free Trial
We offer a 14-day free trial of the Professional plan. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, your account will automatically transition to the Citizen plan unless you choose to subscribe. Your data is preserved during the transition. Each user is eligible for one free trial.
7. Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. For annual subscriptions cancelled before the end of the term, a pro-rated refund will be issued for the remaining unused months. Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond the provided API
- Redistribute or resell the Service or its Content to third parties
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of LexSignal.ai. The regulatory documents processed by the Service are publicly available government publications and remain in the public domain. AI-generated summaries, scores, and analyses are provided for your use within the scope of your subscription and may not be redistributed commercially without our written consent.
10. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Important: The AI-generated summaries, relevance scores, suggested actions, and analyses provided by LexSignal.ai are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions. Always verify critical regulatory information against the official source documents and consult qualified legal professionals for compliance decisions.
11. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.
12. API Usage
API access is available on the Enterprise plan. API usage is subject to rate limits as documented in the API reference. You are responsible for securing your API keys and for all activity conducted through your keys. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access that exceeds reasonable usage limits or that adversely affects the Service for other users.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LexSignal.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LexSignal.ai, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the Member State in which LexSignal.ai is established, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that Member State. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under mandatory EU consumer protection law.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
